For Shash Stephen, that belief has shaped three careers: first as an Associate Professor with a PhD in Psychology, then as an interior designer, and now as a residential property advisor at DDRE Global. Today, she helps clients across Kensington & Chelsea, prime central London and further afield to sell, let and find homes.

Having called Kensington, W8 home for 25 years, she knows the neighbourhood well beyond its property market - from its streets and schools to where to find a good coffee. Her personal favourite is Café Nouvelle.

Her previous careers shape how she works. Psychology taught her what motivates people, while her training at the Inchbald School of Interior Design in Belgravia taught her to see a home’s potential and help others see it too. Whether preparing a property for market or helping a buyer imagine what their next home could become, she brings an understanding of both people and interiors.

She knows a move is rarely just about property. It often accompanies a bigger life change - a growing family, an international relocation or a fresh start - and every client arrives with different priorities and pressures. Shash listens, helps clients work through competing needs and keeps communication clear when things get complicated.

A British Sri Lankan Londoner who has lived and worked in America, Spain, Asia and Australia, she brings an international perspective and an understanding of the practical and personal challenges of making a home somewhere new. She is particularly passionate about helping women feel informed and confident in their property decisions. Recognising that everyone processes information differently, she gives clients the time and space to ask questions and make decisions with confidence.

Previously a Partner at Douglas & Gordon, Shash built her business on recommendations and five-star reviews. In 2026, she ranked third for sales performance at the brokerage. Many clients continue to turn to her after a transaction, and she now manages properties for some of them. At DDRE Global, she combines the personal and professional connections she has built over 25 years in London with her international outlook and DDRE’s global reach.

Away from work, she is a foodie, a yoga regular and happiest dancing to house music. She is mum to Raya, nine, and Summer, a Golden Retriever, and can usually be found walking in Holland Park while planning her next trip to Ibiza.
