We’re delighted to welcome Persephone Rose to Team DDRE as our newest Real Estate Advisor.
Persephone joins DDRE following a career in fintech, bringing with her a global perspective, a naturally people-focused approach and a desire to take on a new challenge.
Her move into property was something she had been considering for years. But, as with many good opportunities, the moment that ultimately opened the door came unexpectedly.
A chance encounter
Last year, Persephone was working for an Australian fintech company. While the role offered structure, she eventually found herself feeling stuck in a routine that had become second nature.
“I began feeling stuck and so I wanted to take on a new challenge.”
Property had been on her mind for years, and the opportunity to explore it arrived in an unlikely way. While helping a photographer friend shoot the entry photos at a fellow real estate advisor’s birthday party, Persephone was asked to stay for an hour before their other plans. It was there that she met Daniel Daggers.
Reflecting on the encounter, she says:
“It’s like I literally manifested it. Although, I guess you do kind of create your own luck.”
After a period of feeling less fulfilled in her previous role, the timing felt right. What began as an unexpected meeting eventually led Persephone towards a completely new career.
Finding the right fit
For Persephone, becoming a Real Estate Advisor represents an opportunity to lean into the qualities that have always come naturally to her.
“I am by nature a people person, I love to make new connections and finding out their stories.”
Her experience is inherently international. Having lived in New York, Sydney, London and Cape Town, Persephone has experienced different cultures and built a network that spans globally.
For her, those experiences are an important part of what she brings to the role.
“Becoming an advisor to me meant leaning into who I truly am. It’s all about people, understanding different cultures, having meaningful conversations.”
That ability to connect with people from different backgrounds is something Persephone sees as one of her biggest strengths as she begins building her own business as an advisor.
Looking ahead
There is also a sense of unpredictability that excites Persephone about entering the world of real estate.
“Here you never know who’s going to walk around the corner who might lead to a next opportunity.”
It is the unique situations and unexpected encounters that she finds particularly thrilling, alongside the opportunity to play a role in shaping people’s lives through their homes.
“Shaping lives and stories through homes is such a joy.”
As she begins this next chapter at DDRE, Persephone is looking forward to everything the journey may bring.
